How to get SBC, SWB to update DNS record caches

How to get SBC to refresh cache for AppRiver MX records

Call SBC dedicated support 866-937-36647 option 3 option 3.

Describe that other SBC customers are not able to send e-mail to your system, say that you believe it is a cache related issue on the SBC DNS servers and you would like to speak with an engineer.

Have the engineer verify your MX record settings.

Open a web browser to http://centralops.net/co and request that the engineer also open a web browser to the site.

Click on nslookup

Enter your domain name in the domain field and click go

Scroll to the bottom and the information for your MX records will be correct.

Go back to the top of the screen and change the name server to ns1.swbell.net and click go.

This should return the old information for your accounts MX records.

The engineer will know how to resolve the issue

Make certain to write down the case number you are given.
